It is my pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Mr. Chris Minner. The intent of this communication is to act as both a professional and personal recommendation. It is relevant to highlight that in my role of training students at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of my professional responsibilities is to write letters of recommendations as they go on to internships and other placements. This activity has afforded me many opportunities to develop a sense of individuals in terms of their strengths and weaknesses.
My association with Chris dates back to the fall of 2020 when he was our realtor in identifying a property to buy at the shore in New Jersey. Having taken the Real Estate examination in the remote past myself and growing up in a sales family, I have an awareness of what it takes to be successful in sales. My view is that being able to listen and hear what your customer wants and being service oriented, as opposed to using high pressure tactics to just make the sale, is what had worked for my family members and I experienced with Chris.
I was really taken aback when I saw at settlement that the seller had put in a very reduced commission for the buyer’s agent which was Chris. While this did not seem fair to me, it did not seem to phase him in terms of his focus on shepherding us through the process despite the lack of financial gain. It was at that time that I decided that I wanted a person of his character to also be involved in helping us find a new home outside of Philadelphia. We were moving from the home we built and lived in for over 25 years in Lititz. Pennsylvania in order to be closer to our daughter and her family.
To further highlight Chris’s integrity, we had a listing agent in Lititz who helped us liquidate some real estate assets of a deceased family member for little compensation. As such, we wanted to give him the listing for our home in Lititz as a way to return the favor. However, the brokerage that he worked for had some questionable practices which Chris identified and advised me about those issues. Both my wife and I very much appreciated his guidance and being protective of our interests in that transaction.
Based upon our professional experiences with Chris, my wife and I were very happy that he and his wife were open to keeping in touch on a personal basis. Those qualities that I saw in our professional relationship are also a part of our ongoing personal relationship in terms of his integrity and caring nature. Beyond these specific characteristics, it is difficult to describe but there was an almost immediate chemistry in liking Chris and this seemed to be his experience as well with us. In short, Chris has that innate ability to be personable, caring and likeable which resonates very much with both my wife and me.
As is evident from the above information, it is with no reservation and the highest level of support that this letter of recommendation is being provided for Mr. Chris Minner.
Sincerely, Dr. Donald P. Masey
